Advent 2020: Unexpected

The year 2020 has proven to be a unique time in our lives with many twists and turns, most of which have been “unexpected.” We recognize the many parallels to this time in history and the Christmas story.

Please join us each week as we embrace the “unexpected” and find ways to move forward amid the doubt and confusion, as our ancestors did.

Each week will have its own theme, as well as common elements in Worship (the same Call to Worship and a different verse of "Come, O Long-Expected Jesus" after the lighting of the Advent candle).

November 29 – Unexpected Disruption
December 6 – Unexpected Path
December 13 – Unexpected Response
December 20 – Unexpected Blessing

Our common text throughout Advent is:

Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
Mathew 24:44

´╗┐And don't forget "What's in the Box" progresses each week during "Time With Children" in Advent.
