Week of July 6-12, 2008

     Gracious God, we thank You that we can rest in You,

     secure amid the conflict and confusion of life. 

     We thank You that You provide for our needs

     and that You have trusted us to one another’s care. 

     Help us to receive with humility and to give with joy. 

     We long for the peace of Your presence,

     even as we are afraid of the urgency of Your call.

     Enter, Spirit of God, into each of our lives

     that through the rest you have given us

     we might find the strength to love and serve

     ALL of God’s children.  Amen.
