Neighborhood Party Welcomes MANY!

Thanks to all the volunteers and staff that made the Neighborhood Party a big success. The pictures show the story of enjoyment, as people learned more about neighbors; neighbors we sit with in the pews, neighbors from University Avenue Discovery Center who inhabit our building, and neighbors from the Regent Neighborhood and beyond. There was great fellowship, and lots of giggles and smiles! We welcomed an estimated 120 church members and friends. Electronics were collected to be recycled through the CyclePoint program at Madison Area Rehabilitation Centers, which helps to provide jobs for people with disabilities. We also packed 69 sack lunches that were delivered to local homeless individuals by the Friends of the State Street Family homelessness outreach program. Thank you to all those that donated food and time to the sack lunch outreach project. The Outreach board was also able to use funds given in memory of George Shands that were earmarked for social justice work. We hope you had fun and we look forward to seeing you again at next year's Neighborhood Party!
