Adult/Teen Supper & Movie Night

13th is a documentary, directed by Ava DuVernay, that explores race, justice and mass incarceration in the US. In the film, scholars, activists, and politicians analyze the criminalization of African Americans and the US prison boom.This documentary has received acclaim from film critics and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 89th Academy Awards, and won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. First Congregational's Jerry Hancock, Director of the Prison Ministry, will attend and lead a discussion following the screening of the film. Please join with other First Cong folks in the Fellowship Room at 6:00pm for a great night out (IN!) together! You can just come, or bring a dish to pass to accompany the provided pizza and drinks.
