Neighbors in Need Offering

Event Date:
Sunday, October 23, 2016 - 10:00am - 11:00am
Do you ever stop to think about what your neighbors need? Because of where I currently live my neighbors don't need financial assistance. Instead they need assistance of the heart. One of my neighbors is mostly negative. She is of good heart but timid. I give her reasons to hope. Another neighbor has trouble with boundaries. I call in legal aid to ensure his respect for my property.
And yet I have lived where the children of my next door neighbor needed food. I know that the Neighbors in Need Offering is of great value and service. In Wisconsin, grants have been given to Madison Workers' Rights Center and Good Neighbors Personal Essentials Pantry. Many grants are given throughout the year to support mission initiatives of churches all around the United Church of Christ. Grants to local churches are used to help migrant workers through the California Nevada Southern Conference, to oppose the death penalty in Missouri, and for Anamosa Lunches for Youth in Anamosa, Iowa. From Hawaii to Connecticut the Neighbors in Need Offering brings mission and ministry together to strengthen bonds and empower neighbors we know and those we have yet to meet. Be generous in your support of Neighbors in Need on October 23rd.
