Holy Week begins Sunday

Sunday, March 20th marks the beginning of the final week in Lent. There are many opportunities for us to gather in community to be reminded of the events of Holy Week thousands of years ago. This year our Maundy Thursday service will include a Cantata and Reader's Theatre that will help us to experience the profound emotions of Jesus' journey during his final steps. Your presence is encouraged to make the resurrection even more meaningful. Services offered include:
Sunday, March 20 - Palm Sunday, Worship in the Sanctuary at 10:00am
                       Wondrous Love:  Unconditional Forgiveness
Thursday, March 24 - Maundy Thursday, Worship in the Sanctuary at 7:00pm
As part of our Maundy Thursday service we will offer hand-washing, Communion and hear the story of Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane through the             Crucifixion.  Using candle lighting, scripture, and song, we will experience a moving presentation of In Calvary's Shadow by Victor C. Johnson, featuring the         choir and readers. Our service will end in darkness.
Friday, March 25 - Good Friday, Worship in the Sanctuary from 12:00-1:00pm
The Good Friday service is Biblical readings with organ interlude.  A quiet service meant for private reflection of the events leading up to Easter.
        Sunday, March 27 - EASTER
Early Easter Service 7:30am in the Chapel
Our first service on Easter morning will celebrate the Resurrection,  including Communion.  A continental breakfast will be held in the Student Lounge                   following Worship.
Easter Service 10:00 in the Sanctuary
The service will begin remembering Holy Saturday.  We will move into the Resurrection by adorning our Cross with fresh flowers (bring your favorite,                      colorful fresh flowers), music with Brass Quintet, and the community singing the "Hallelujah Chorus." We will hear the reminder that Christ has come to                offer life to each of us!
