New Associate Recommendation

On behalf of the Associate Minister Search Committee and the Executive Council of First Congregational Church, we joyfully share with you our recommendation to call the Reverend Ann Beaty for the full-time Associate Minister position at First Congregational Church.
Ann Beaty moved to Madison three years ago from Austin, Texas with her partner Carol Kreuscher. Since moving to Madison, Ann has done part-time work with First United Methodist, Cress Funeral Services and has served at First Congregational Church as Associate Minister in a contract position since March 2014. Ann's partner, Carol Kreuscher, DMA, is a professional singer, voice teacher and retired University Professor. Living in Madison is re-connecting them both with their mid-west roots.
Ann was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 1990 and served as Senior Associate Pastor for 23 years at Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin. In her position at Tarrytown her ministries included Spiritual Nurture, Adult Spiritual Formation, Worship, Contemplative Ministries and Pastoral Care. Ann was recently granted Privilege of Call by the Division of Church and Ministry of the Southwest Association of the Wisconsin Conference for transfer of clergy credentials to the United Church of Christ, pending a call.
In addition to the depth of ministerial experiences Ann Beaty would bring to First Congregational Church as our Associate Minister, the search committee enthusiastically recommends her as a compassionate and thoughtful pastor of deep faith, spirituality and integrity.
Please mark your calendars for January 9th-10th 2016 for Rev. Beaty's candidate weekend at First Congregational Church. There will be an afternoon reception on Saturday, January 9th for the congregation to meet with Ann. On Sunday January 10th, Ann will lead the worship service and preach. Immediately following worship, a congregational meeting will be held to vote on her candidacy. More details will be forthcoming.
