Compulsion, at the UW Cinematheque, 4010 Vilas Hall, April 19, 7:30pm. The 1959 film based on the Leopold-Loeb murders, with post-film discussion led by Jerry Hancock and Jim Healy.

Sister Helen Prejean and Jake Heggie in Conversation April 24, 7:00pm First Congregational, Admission is FREE. Join composer Jake Heggie and Sister Helen Prejean in conversation about the Dead Man Walking opera, Sister Helen’s work, and their collaboration. Mezzosoprano Susanne Mentzer will sing.

 

Tickets A discounted block of tickets has been reserved for First Congregational members and friends for the Sunday, April 27, performance of Dead Man Walking at the Overture Center. Sign-up at the back of the Sanctuary on Sunday or phone the church office. Cost: $72.90/Ticket.
