Fall Choir Schedule

The start of the fall music program is right around the corner. Choirs are open to everyone, church membership is not a requirement to participate in the music program. A brief description of the choirs with their start dates is listed.

CHANCEL CHOIR – open to all, high school age and older. The Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 until 9:00 in the Chapel. They sing in worship on the first and third Sundays of the month, and occasionally on the fourth Sunday of the month. They also participate in other worship services throughout the year. The ability to read music is not necessary. Afraid to commit to every week?  Sing for a month, or sing on the first Sunday of the month. Start Date: September 4

CANTATA CHOIR – open to all, high school age and older. The Cantata Choir meets for 5 to 7 rehearsals in the fall to sing a longer choral work during Advent, and again for 5 to 7 rehearsals in the spring to sing a longer choral work during the Lent/Easter season. This Advent, the Cantata Choir will be singing Howard Hanson’s Streams In The Desert.  Watch the Tower for further details and start dates.

SUNDAY SINGERS – open to all, reading age and older. The Sunday Singers meets on the last Sunday of the month at 9:00am to learn a simple introit and anthem to sing during worship that morning. Start Date: September 29.

COVENTRY RINGERS – open to all, high school age and older. The Coventry Ringers meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 until 7:30 in Room 301. They play at worship services throughout the year, and also participate in special events outside the church, including a Christmas concert this December. Start Date: October 2.

CHERUB CHOIR – open to all children age 5 through grade 6. The Cherub Choir meets immediately following worship on Sunday mornings until 11:45 A.M. in Room 301. They sing in worship on the second Sunday of the month, with the exception of January. In addition, they sing at the 5:00 Family Service on Christmas Eve. Start Date: September 8.
