Congregational Meeting

A congregational meeting will take place on Sun., Feb. 12, after worship. At the meeting, the congregation will be asked to vote on the following recommendations from the Executive Council.

Recommendation: that the congregation adopts the proposed operating budget for 2012.

Recommendation: that the congregation hires H+H Mechanical to install the new heating system including a new air handling system and Walser Electric for electrical upgrade at a total cost of $959,073.

Recommendation: that the congregation hires H+H Mechanical to install air conditioning for the sanctuary and dining room at a cost of $78,604.

Recommendation: that the congregation authorizes borrowing up to $400,000 to provide the needed cash flow to make payments on the new heating system and electrical work and authorizes the Moderator Phillip Certain and the Treasurer Richard Fluechtling to negotiate the terms of any borrowing and sign documents needed for it.

Recommendation: that the congregation adopts the proposed search procedures for the new senior minister.

Recommendation: that the congregation adopts the proposed notice of a weapons ban.

A copy in pdf form can be requested from the church at office@firstcongmadison.org. The document includes financial results for 2011 which shows a small net positive of revenue over expenses.
