Make a Joyful Noise!

"Make a Joyful Noise" With those words, members of First Congregational’s chancel choir sent good wishes to the men at Fox Lake Correctional Institution. FCC’s old, green choir robes have been donated to Fox Lake, where they will have new life with the prison’s choir and congregation. Chaplain Deborah Mejchar, a long-time friend of FCC’s Prison Ministry Project, was excited to receive the robes last week and planned to unveil them as a surprise to her choir and congregation at Sunday’s worship service. Our choir’s message to the men at Fox Lake ended by saying that the robes  “… are full of music, having graced our worship for many years. Thank you for giving them new life!” Chaplain Mejchar assures us that the robes will be greatly appreciated.
