Fair Wisconsin Leadership Awards

Fair Wisconsin – Madison’s statewide LGBT advocacy group – is giving one of their three Madison awards to First Congregational UCC. They are giving us their 2011 Leadership Awardas Organization of the Year. This recognizes not only the welcome, inclusion and affirmation of LGBT folks that happens here, but also the city, county, and statewide advocacy in which our church has participated.
There will be a ceremony on June 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 in the lobby of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art on State Street. The awards will be presented around 6pm or so. Please let me know if you are going to attend. Members of the church whose names I give them will get in free (this is also a fund-raising event for Fair Wisconsin). Receiving this award is an honor for our church. I hope you will consider attending.
