Fair Wisconsin Leadership Awards

In doing this, Fair Wisconsin is recognizing not only the welcome, inclusion and affirmation of LGBT folks that happens here, but also the advocacy on a city, county and statewide basis in which our church has participated.
The Madison awards will be between 5:30 and 7:30 in the lobby of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, at 227 State Street. There will be half an hour or so of fellowship around appetizers and beverages, and then the awards ceremony will begin. Jeanne Marshall, who has been an LGBT advocate and AIDS activist for years, and Sue Jones, the new Moderator-elect of our church, will accept the award on behalf of the church.
If you would like to attend this ceremony, you are certainly welcome and I would invite you to come. There is a recommended donation of $50 at the door (this is also a fund-raising event for Fair Wisconsin); but if you give me your name and tell them you are from First Congregational UCC, there is no charge.
This is quite an honor for our church. Please let me know if you can attend and see us receive this award.
