Rev. Joanne Thomson will be our guest preacher on Sunday, August 4th. Rev. Thomson has served as Associate Conference Minister of the Wisconsin Conference for eighteen years, most recently serving the Southwest Wisconsin Association. Joanne is a member of First Congregational UCC, and this Sunday we will have the distinct honor to give thanks for her ministry and represent the Conference in a liturgy of farewell, or end of Authorized Ministry. A graduate of Harvard Divinity School, she has served as pastor of congregations in Cambridge, MA, Madison, and Middleton, WI. Joanne served as Associate Minister at First Congregational UCC from 1984-1989. She has been a leader and mentor for female ministers in a profession once dominated by men.
